Post Treatment of Suspension Components

Introducing Post Treatment Processes for Suspension Components, Bushings and Mounts

Post treatment refers to the process of chemically plating suspension components, bushings or mounts to reduce the occurrence of corrosion.  The post treatment process can include zinc iron or zinc nickel.  Zinc iron is a low cost solution for corrosion protection between 500 – 1000 hours.  Zinc Nickel is more expensive but can achieve corrosion protection over 1000 hours.  Pablo Morales, Queretaro Plant Manager, and Troy Oscar, Automotive Market Leader, at Pioneer Metal Finishing, discuss the post treatment process for suspension components.
